The road less travelled was to easy

It took the most remote and extreme conditions to reveal my character                                           which came through when I needed it.

DENALI

Talkeenta Glacier, so breathing taking
it levitates the senses.
2nd day into it and my binding breaks.
I'm walking and carrying 80lbs.
Crossing crevasses on foot is not the same
as skis spreading the weight over a snow bridge.
Head down & 'counting tiles'.
No place I'd rather be.
Little human.
Big snow cone.
After a 3 day storm, we emerge.
-40 & a faulty stove ends my summit attempt.
